Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). Prof. Bilal R. Kaafarani was selected by IUPAC to be the 2011 International Year of Chemistry

- Fadi Jradi from Kaafarani's group was granted a stay for 8 weeks during Summer 2007 (July 15-Sep 15, 2007) at the Center for Photochemical Sciences
at Bowling Green State University. Fadi was working with Thilini Kuruwita-Mudiyanselage on the synthesis of red emitters at the laboratories of Prof.
Douglas C. Neckers.
